Howdy Ahoy Everyone!
I just wanted to update my progress and let everyone know about a great program called Serious Bloggers Only. The founder is Jon Morrow who teaches the proper steps to take to making a blog successful. He has a Beginner Track, a Builder Track — Blogging Topics, Builder Track — Writing Topics, and a Moneymaker Track.
I have been doing the Beginner track for the last 2 weeks and have learned that a successful blog is about the readers, not about you. I am creating an opt in page through a Wordpress App called
I am so grateful I was able to get started for only $1.00 trial and then only $50.00 a month after that. Between using Wealthy Affiliate as my platform for building my website, and learning exactly what to do through Serious Bloggers Only I know that I will be able to attain my dream of being a stay at home dad with my wife and 5 children in 2-3 years.
I also found a great article outlining how to install a text widget for those that are Amazon affiliates making sure that you follow their affiliate guidelines.

Just out of curiosity, why would you pay an extra $50/month to another platform when WA trains you directly on how to create a successful blog? The training here covers everything you could ask for and more. That's what this platform is all about.
I have been through their certification course and have watched several training videos and haven't achieved the results I am looking for. I have been a member around 4 months. As I said by using Wealthy Affiliates platform and the training from Serious Bloggers I know I can achieve the success I have wanted for over 10 years.
Wealthy Affiliate is a great program and the $50.00 a month is well wotth the price to host and build your websites and the technical support is fantastic. I just found a better training for myself and I have tried a lot.
At 4 months in, you're just starting your journey and I think you'll do well. I think with time you'll realize that what you're looking for is actually all right here at WA. You said your a-ha moment with this other platform was when you read that to be successful it's all about the readers and not you. Well Michael, that's taught right out of the gate here at WA.
It's all about staying away from the shiny objects that come along, being consistent, and most of all being patient. Best of luck to you. It's also important to keep WA a spam free zone, so remember not to promote outside platforms here. Take care brother.

I'm a bit mystified too as to why you would double bubble on the WA training.
If there is a valid reason, fair enough but as they say "50 bucks is 50 bucks"
