Facebook mayhem
So a few days ago I decided to take the plunge and try facebook. I have never had an account with facebook before. I have read where facebook can be a good marketing tool so I created an account. All went well the first day. I was going to take it slow since it was all new to me so I read a couple of posts and sent out some friend requests. I just created the account and looked around a little. I try to log back in today and for some reason my account is locked. they requested a picture for face recognition. I'm not the selfie type but I mustered up the courage and got it done. Now I am waiting to get approved. I guess I don't understand all of this. After all I just joined to maybe re-unite with friends I haven't heard from for years and try to promote my website. After all I am just an old Arkansas country boy. I guess they think I am a terrorist or something. I guess they are short on southern hospitality. So now I guess I wait. Waiting isn't getting my goals accomplished. I would like to thank everyone for letting me vent. Anyone have any suggestions?

I won't pretend to be a Facebook expert, however I haven't heard of this so it must be new. Make sure you check to see if something is just optional and you can cancel, or if it's a must thing.
Facebook can be as you say, full of mayhem.
Use the tool as you see fit, and with what makes you most comfortable.
I googled the problem and there were people that have waited up to a month to get approved. They were really hopping mad about it.

Hey Michael, as you wait there's always more things you can do so waiting doesn't feel like 10 years.
I'd start a blog post, maybe finish one, write a song, really anything that progresses you forward as you wait. Read or listen to some motivational audios, these all are a step forward in my niche so I do them.
Hope this helps.
