My membership expired with amazon. I tried to make a sale in the 180 days they gave me but it didnt happen. I re-applied today and now I am good for another 180 days. I was wondering if I need to go back and re-link all the products that are already linked to amazon products on my website? I think they changed my code( the code embedded in the link that links the sale to me ) I really hope i dont have to for that would really be time consuming. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Michael Cox

That's just one of the things that makes the Amazon affiliate program so difficult. Between their one-day cookie and the lowest commission rates combined with the sales requirements, perhaps you might want to consider other merchants for your site. Unless you promote items which could be impulse purchases, chances are people went back and bought from Amazon after your cookie expired, so you didn't get the credit for those sales.

That's a good idea. Think I will look around for a new affiliate. If I can find one I might as well switch up since I have to re-do all of my links anyway. Thanks for the tip. Michael.

What is your niche? Maybe I can make some suggestions.

Hi Michael...I received a similar email from Amazon about making 3 sales by sometime in June. Was going to post a question about reapplying "if" I don't meet their criteria by that date, but you've answered that question. Figured I would also need to redo links and Nathaniel has answered that as well.

Thanks to both of you guys for answering my questions in advance. :)

Is your affiliate ID the same as before? The one that says mycode-20 ?

Chances are, it's not the same, so you should re-link your products.
