The Devil's Toy Box
They say there's some truth to all Urban Legends, and this one, out of Northern Louisiana, is probably no different.
Horror fans will recognize this as being inspired by Pinhead's "Lament Configuration" puzzle box from Clive Barker's "Hellraiser" movie franchise.
(Pinhead, with "Lemarchand's Box." In the Hellraiser movies, if you configure the box in a certain way, you literally "raise hell," summoning Pinhead and his demonic cohorts, known as Cenobites.)
Here's a list of the Barker-inspired movies...
Hellraiser (1987)
Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988)
Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992)
Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996)
Hellraiser: Inferno (2000)
Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002)
Hellraiser: Deader (2005)
Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005)
Hellraiser: Revelations (2011)
Hellraiser: Judgement (2017)
(Whew! That's a lot of Pinhead activity, and please don't confuse him with the Conehead family from "France." This pin cushion wannabe is a lot less cordial!)
Actually, though, the Devil's Toy Box is purported to be a small, windowless shack, believed to be located at the end of a long dirt road, in or near Leesburg, Louisiana.
The shack's floor, ceiling, and walls are said to be completely covered with mirrors.
The shack was allegedly built in 2014, as part of a Halloween attraction called Farmer Grave's Haunted Orchard, owned by Will and Darlene Sawyer.
The legend says if you are inside the one-room shack too long, you'll go insane, or the devil will appear and steal your soul.
Supposedly, the attraction was shut down by town officials, less than a week after opening, following the hospitalization of numerous people who dared to venture inside the Devil's Toy Box.
It has been reported that no one could last longer than 5 minutes inside the shack. A large timer was placed outside the building to show the length of the current occupant's stay.
According to witnesses' statements, Roger Heltz, age 52, and a father of 3, set the record at just over 4 minutes, but emerged from the shack totally mute, and has not spoken to this day.
Other reports are of people having heart attacks, suffering bouts of insanity, and having to be physically dragged from the room, kicking and screaming.
It has been asserted that one young man committed suicide, just two weeks after his experience in the Devil's Toy Box.
So, if you're feeling like "raising hell," I'd recommend doing it in a Blog, or on your Website, and leaving the Devil's Toy Box to experienced paranormal investigators.

So does this mean the wizard of words is something of a hell-raiser...
Another great story, my friend! :)
When you go to that room bear in mind that what you see and hear from the movie are not true so you don't be scared or afraid of something.
A thing created by the hands of your fellow being should be understood and accepted as part of the art. It was their mind that killed them not the object and the room where they went in.
They say too much of anything is no g[d...guess that goes for mirror reflections as well? lol....self refection to a fault...haha
OKaaaay??? Thanks Rick, you had my attention. You've always got something very interesting to share!

I saw the original Hell raiser. It's theme was turning the box like a Chinese puzzle box twisted the world into a twisted evil dimension. Shelves with Jeffrey Daimler artifacts! Scary stuff!
