Your "Goose; Your Golden Egg"
Do you guys remember the story, 'bout "The Goose that laid the Golden Egg?" If you recall, a very poor man came into possession of a goose. The next morning, he found, to his amazement, that this goose had laid an egg; an egg of pure gold!! Well, he went out and squandered this priceless egg, and before long, was penniless once more. But this man didn't fret. "I still have my goose", he proclaimed.
So, for the next few days he waited, anxiously, for the goose to lay another golden egg. After a few more days, the mans patience ran out, greed took over him, and the need for riches overwhelmed him. "I will just, 'retrieve' the eggs from inside the goose", he thought. HE KILLED THE GOOSE, AND CUT HIM OPEN!!! And he found... NOTHING... Well, he found himself... POOR AGAIN!!
Now, in our lives, the "goose", could represent many things. Here, the goose could represent Wealthy Affiliate. The "Golden Egg"' could be the end result. You can spend a little time here, and when you run out of patience, and don't get the results of what you have envisioned, you're ready to quit, or, 'Kill The Goose'.
Amazon is my goose. As I was ready to, "kill" my association with Amazon, I found a few "golden eggs" in my account. Not much by a long shot, ( the "eggs", were worth pennies), but the knowledge that it works has given me the incentive to work crazy til my "golden eggs" become a reality.
We may have a "goose", in the palms of our hands, but being impatient, need for quick riches, and not understanding that,"Good Things Come To Those Who Wait..." puts a strangle-hold on our thinking at times.
In the story, you want to believe that in due time, the goose would have produced a lifetime of wealth and riches beyond the mans the wildest dreams. Instead, of caring and nurturing the goose, he did the unthinkable!
So, how are you caring for YOUR 'goose'? Don't make the mistake that could cost you your golden eggs!!! Look beyond instant gratification. Put in the time and effort, and don't bite the hands that feeds you!
For your future's sake, give your work time to develop and, "DON'T KILL THE GOOSE!!!" It may be worth the wait...

We can cut our noses off to spite our faces, sometimes. We need to propagate and nurture our ideas and opportunities.
The lesson of the story is, take good care of what you have for the world is not a safe place to live in! It is like a safe haven to be in a community like WA!

It's a nice comparison. It is true that we shouldn't think that once we have reached our goal that everything will go by itself and that we can rest on our achievements, hoping that now the money will flow freely. In our world of business on the internet, gifts don't really exist, we must work to get there and even when we get there we must continue to maintain a certain discipline not to wake up one morning without any income.
