Confessions of a Newbie
Some Background
I already have a couple of websites, and came in to WA with a pretty good idea of what Affiliate Marketing is - the concept not the implementation.
I was looking for a way to increase traffic and revenue on my websites, and was already on the email lists for ClickBank. So I moseyed over to their website to see what they had to offer. Then, as all of us do, I started googling their reviews.
One review that came up spoke highly of WA, so I went over to their site, and as WA has a free program, I signed up. I was very impressed with what I saw, so signed up for Premium.
In the starter program, I originally started down the path of the OEC, went through the free training, came up with a niche, created my first website and blog. Then curiosity got the better of me, so I went over to the Bootcamp, to see what that was all about, and liked what I saw, so created another website with the Bootcamp in mind - all under the free training.
Premium Membership
After dipping my toe in on the starter program, I was really happy to sign up for Premium, as I really wanted to learn more.
Still on the bootcamp program, I hit a roadblock! (I am more of a monosyllabic person and don't elaborate much). Writing is one of the hurdles I have to learn to get over, or through or go around, but not stop (great blog by Christine @CMKetay).
So I switched back to OEC. Well, of course another writing task came up and I stopped........
But as I have been reading all the blogs and comments, I read somewhere (and forgive me, I don't recall who said it!) that if you need to skip a step go ahead, just be sure to go back at a later time. So that is's what I did.
Confessions and a Promise
In fact I skipped many a step, but the knowledge I have gained - the SEO tips, the keyword research, the free image resources, etc have helped me really improve my current websites.
So even though my niche website and the Affiliate website are on hold, I am making great strides in improving my current sites. Learning how to navigate Wordpress has also been a great bonus.
My promise is to return to the steps I missed and develop my WA sites and continue on this journey.
I have to thank all of this wonderful group of people that have inspired, me helped me, created positive vibes. I know I am going to enjoy this adventure.
(Hey, look at that: I wrote more than 400 words - things are looking up!)

The cool thing, is a get to set the rules of our engagement, and where and when we want to take our online, endeavors.
With the writing, it doesn't matter where we started, our success is in where we are going.
On that note we are in the right place to learn everything we need to know.
Best wishes.
