Hello fellow niche marketers! I'm writing this post to summarize my last 5 months working on setting up my own online business. This isn't a success story yet but more of a slow and steady wins the race. Even though my website is still growing (5 pages and 7 posts so far) I feel like I have come a long way.
The amount that I've learned the past few months has been phenomenal! I've probably spent too much time reading and polishing up the feel of my website instead of writing content but I now feel like I really know where I'm going with this.
I have a strong framework and business plan in place and am really planning to ramp things up over the course of the next six months. This December I plan to create my first digital product; a collection of how-to videos to help people perform effective exercises with kettlebells. I've already done a few videos now and am surprised how comfortable I am doing it.
More and more I'm looking towards Youtube for traffic as Google can be such a fickle mistress. I'm also going to try to build my traffic this winter by trying to be helpful in forums and getting better known in my niche.
Besides that I'm going to continue posting at least one good article a week. Even though it's been hard to fit in my WA time around my other responsibilities I still feel like I'm making good progress even if it's going to take a while longer to really pay off. I'v already started setting up some affiliate links to amazon and after this Christmas I'll have my own product to sell as well. Then I'll really feel confident to start marketing this own brand and business!
