The Journey Begins
After quiting WA years ago, I am back more experienced. I worked IT for small businesses, and with small business's I had to wear many hats and work on many different projects. Slowly I had clients ask me to help with their websites, and then I had clients ask me to help them with marketing their websites. I used some techniques I learned with WA, I used my failures and success's and gained experience with each client and project. I started getting great results for a few clients.
With the small business's also comes the smaller paychecks, and so when I had a marketing company approach me I accepted an interview. I got the job and learned from a full time web marketing team, all new up to date knowledge and tools.
After learning about a food blogger who makes 30k a month, I decided it was time to come back to WA and use my new knowledge, experience and tools to good use and build a few blogs. I am going to document 1 of my blog's progress to help motivate me and help others with a guide of sorts.
The Journey Begins...
Read along as I build a common niche - the work from home blog. I chose this one as it's one of the hardest to make it with as there is so much competition. I also have a chance to use WA as an affiliate so I can show an affiliate program that everyone is familiar with.
I won't list the blog on my websites section of my profile as to not muddy the analytics from WA traffic. I also won't mention the name on the blog for the same reason. If you are curious of the theme, it's the same as my other websites in my profile section.
The Details:
The domain is brand new (google does rank an older domain higher)
The site is hosted with WA - SiteRubix
It is Wordpress with the Genesis Theme and Custom Child theme built from Magazine Pro
I have marketing and IT skills (so not your typical new WA'er, just following along you will have different results)
I will post my analytics, keyword rankings and WA Affiliate sales monthly. Join me on this new adventure and hopefully it will help you find success too. Can I get on the first page for "work from home" (200K /month searches)?
