Do I choose the country I am born In or the Country I am currently living in?
Unless it is a niche specifically targeted in one country, then getting a .com domain is best. It opens it up to a bigger audience (and thereby bigger earnings)

However, starting with a siterubix subdomain may be better until you are happy with your niche and name, as you cannot edit the URL of a premium domain name once purchased. And if you happen to have made a mistake.

I would always go for a dot com domain name vs. dot net or dot org as people's perceptions when they start typing they would typically assume it is a dot com. And make sure it is spelled correctly, as it cannot be edited once purchased.
