A quick help question, one of my generate press sites is recording categories and tags information u
It is recording categories and tags information under the Read More heading. I'm not sure why, but I would prefer it didn't. Can anyone assist me in some direction to change t
You have very good advice and guidance here…let us know if you have any further questions.

Why would you not give a screenshot of the issue, so that I do not have to guess? I am using this theme in several sites and could perhaps help. Pretty sure no need for a plugin, this theme has a lot of options for customization. Also, do you use a free or paid version of the theme?
Hi John,
As far as I'm aware, whether you can exclude these will depend on the theme, and I know that it always shows categories and tags under Read More with GeneratePress.
Whether your theme allows you to exclude these can be found under SETTINGS and then READING.
However, I don't believe that you have the option to remove/exclude with the GeneratePress theme.
That being the case, you can use a plugin.
One of the best ones to try would be the Ultimate Category Excluder.
There are other plugins that can do this, such as Collapsing Categories List, Category and Sub Category List, etc.
Hope that helps.
Partha
Thanks, Partha, that was very helpful. I'll look into the plugin and am now so much better informed on Generate Press.
Post Meta?
Try
Appearance > Customize > Blog > Blog single > Content > Post Meta, then toggle off Categories and tags.
This could be the pro theme.
hey Abie, I've tried to follow the path, but mine is Appearance>customize>(no blog tag)so enter under Layout, then you find blog, but under blog you have two options excerpt or full content, no options exist for blog single, content, post meta? Have I followed the correct path initially?
As Abie has mentioned, this "could" be the pro theme - IT IS.
With the free version of GeneratePress you won't have this option, so you would need to follow my instructions above to remove these from the free version of GP.
