Checking In

Hello family,

I've been unable to write a blogpost for a while now because I got caught up in a bit of a frenzy this past week. My website took pretty much all of my attention. I got pretty excited and a bit carried away when I started receiving a bit of recognition after I shared a couple of links and posts on social media.

I think it was a terrible mistake because I soon realized it was too early for that. Although I have a plan in mind about how I want the site to look like...let's just say its nowhere near that yet.

It's kinda like bragging to people about how awesome your son is and how he's this and that and going to do so many awesome things with his life, only for people to meet your son and realize he's a 3-week old baby.

That's how I felt when people started asking questions about my website and why it didn't "do a lot of things".

It was a bit of a rude awakening. So I'm going to take my time with it and grow at a much more logical pace. Maybe this will serve as some sort of advice to you if you're still a newbie and want to run shoulders with the big guys. It's easy to think you've got something great when you make a little progress, especially when its about something you've never achieved before.

I never thought I could build a website and manage one by myself so a little success in that, got your boy all worked up even though there's still a mountain to climb up ahead.

So I'm calmer now. Lesson learnt.
