Feedback On Classrooms
I try to visit classrooms as often as time will allow; my preference is the –getting started classroom, as my way of paying it forward.
I am seeing many of the questions I received community help with, and where I feel most comfortable given my limited technical knowledge.
There are several newbies asking the same questions, and several with very limited technical knowledge like I was as a newbie.
There were a few complaints about not getting answers to private messages.
WA is a huge platform and we should exercise some patience.
Private messages should be a last resort.
Was My Question Asked and Answered Before?
A useful exercise is to scroll down the list of questions asked and see if your question has been asked before, and if any of the replies answers your question.
One of the frequent issues is transferring websites that you own to WA.
There is a blog by Carson on the subject, along with several others; make sure you read the instructions carefully and only ask for help if you run into a roadblock.
Be patient with this process, sometimes your platform will prefer you to point your website to WA rather than transfer if, so don’t be surprise if there are frustrations; the process may also take some time.

so true before someone asks a question they need to look to see if it's already been answered---but the lazy way is just to ask the question again
It is much easier to point to WA rather than to transfer your website, but not impossible. I agree with your position. Patience is key. It is in the difficulty that we discover and learn. The process is important.

It is important to visit their profiles regularly for updates. I found that out recently, I must admit it was something I overlooked; but there is so much to do and learn at WA.
