If you play with fire . You might win!
Are you a risk-taker?
What are you willing to give up to move up?
Will you do anything it takes to succeed?
Have you ever been asked those questions or perhaps asked them of someone?
It is hard-wired in some of us to never settle for the ordinary. To live with discontent as your best friend. Yet we know that all the greatest inventions, medical breakthroughs, and economic growth have come under the leadership of risk-taking malcontents!
So what are we to do?
My coach is a former school administrator who over the last 16 years has grown a multi-million dollar business coaching high-performing risk-takers. When he started out he was scared to death. He admits he is an introvert by nature and not a risk-taker. At least until the day he got fired and his life was turned upside-down.
He now coaches only high performers and those aspiring to change the world. He provides daily insight into the journey of the risk taker, and recently challenged me to get out of my comfort zone.
Be a risk-taker and change the world
Entrepreneurs are called to be risk-takers whether they like it or not. It is part of the job description. It is important that we measure the risk to be sure it is worth it and yet in the end we just have to do it. The future is filled with unknowns and risk-takers are the ones who chart the new course others will follow.
May we all be ready each day to 'risk it all' to change the world! That involves getting into the heat of the battle being willing to get burned by failure. Only as we learn from our failures do we discover the inner strength to keep going against all odds.
I hope that all of us in WA will get close to the 'fire' of success and willingly risk it all to make a difference in the world.
Have a great week.
