Can I use the following plug-ins with WA hosting:

LearnDash ( https://www.learndash.com/ )
or
LearnPress ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/learnpress/ ) ?

Hey Chris,

This would be best asked of SiteSupport.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
Though some members may have discovered whether one of these plugins may have worked for them... or not, you could be days waiting to find out.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks.

I started with site support. They did not know about LearnDash or LearnPress. Said I should ask the community so here I am.

Guess I'll need to wait

Why not try testing them to see if they'll work for you... if concerned, you could always create a FREE site and use that to test what you need to learn about first. Just remember to set "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" (see screen print below) as you don't want your TEST site seen by the world... right?

Hope this helps you.

Good idea to do a test site. I currently have all my sites hosted elsewhere and was considering moving but probably wont if my options are limited at WA. Test site should get me the answers I need.

Most times it is a security issue that causes certain plugins to not work on WA servers.

As for autoresponders on our websites, that has been deemed not a smart move either because if the site gets hacked and the autoresponder abused, your domain name will suffer for it by being blacklisted.

Even Jetpack has proven to be not a smart choice given the recent hacking issues.

Didn't know about Jetpack. Will look into it. I think any issues with these have to do with writing php or something like that. I'll probably stick with hosting elsewhere. More options now and down the road. If I were doing just blogs I'd definitely use WA hosting. We'll see...

If you are creating an affiliate website, believe me, you will not find better, safer, faster and less expensive hosting then right here at WA. Honest!

Heck, I'd bring my local business site here if it were for the fact that the servers are located in the states... and, local business sites HAVE to be on local servers if you want to rank in local search results.

Seriously, the servers here are BEST bar none!

I've just had to find "work arounds" when a plugin didn't work. That is sooo much easier than fixing a hacked website, believe me.

Hi, is it possible to embed a WA opt-in form on my site (WA landing page). Ideally, it would enroll the user in WA and then send them to the getting started training and also add t

As I know WA doesn't offer such option at the moment. Even if it was then your subscribers would go directly to WA which you don't want.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't find any pre-made forms either.

I'm wondering about custom options. I know we can create a custom WA opt in page. Is there a way to import the opt-in section to my webpage? Like in an iframe, with a prug-in or something outside of the box like that? That wouldn't solve everything but may get me closer.

Or, maybe a plug-in that will auto-fill and submit to WA from the form they fill on my site. Is there such a thing? Would this be OK with WA?

You say I "don't want" them to go directly to WA but as affiliates that's what we do want, right? Please share your reason for saying I "don't want" to. If you don't give any reason why or offer any alternatives, I don't know what to do with the statement.

For some situations (not all), I think that's what I want.

Reader arrives at site -> goes to WA Landing page -> wants to try WA -> fills out opt-in on my page (no new pages, no change of scene, email or second form) -> gets enrolled in both my mail list and WA starter program at the same time. Or, offer a 'check-box' they can select if they want the newsletter (like I've got on my contact form).

The only down-side I see is that they may not confirm the newsletter subscription if they are sent directly to WA. I can avoid this by directing them to confirm the email subscription before sending them to WA link/access. I think the one opt-in form will result in more converts than a 3 step - Double signup process.

Worth testing anyway.

Thanks
C

As for the opt-in you are asking about, I don't think it does exist. As for my statement, I mean you can create your own opt-in via Aweber.com and build your own list of subscribers. Most of your visitors will not sign up to WA anyway because they will be skeptical about it at first. That's why you need to create your own 3,5 day course through which you will be able to explain to your visitors how WA works, all its benefits and finally convert some of them into WA members. That is what top affiliates are doing. Most of this work can't be automated and takes time and efforts to be invested. I don't know any affiliate who is doing what you want. But I can give you advise. Type the name of Nathaniel Brenes in the WA search box (he is one of the top WA affiliates) and ask from him. He is more experienced than I am and maybe he can in some way help you out.

Thanks for the response rufat. I agree with the course. Working on it. Chris

Hi Chris. I know it's been over 6 months since you posted this question. I agree with you and was also trying to figure out a way for us to capture the users information 1 time only before sending them to the WA.

Were you ever able to resolve this? If so, how? I'd be very interested.
