Two Weeks In: Time Issues and Grammar Mistakes

It's been about two weeks now that I joined the WA family and I've had to deal with my first (minor) highs and lows already. I'm excited to share them with you as each high led to its own low and back to a high again.

My first high was the first week that I joined. It was still in the Christmas Holiday and with the corona lock down in full effect, I had plenty of time to dive into all the courses that were offered and try everything I'd learned on my new site. In the meantime, talking to all of you made it even better! Sharing and caring :)

And suddenly, the Christmas Holiday came to an end and I had to start my regular job again. At the end of the day I couldn't find the energy to continue working on myself and my site, and was already longing for the weekend. It felt bad that after such a commitment to my site I now browsed WA for a bit at the end of the day and that's about it.

However, this low made me realize something important. If I get so much energy on working on my site and my own development, while at the same time it costs me so much energy to continue my regular job, maybe its time to change things up a bit. As my regular job at the moment takes care of my money issues I don't want to quit (yet), but I've decided that from the first week in February onward I'm taking a day off on Wednesday so I've got a day of excitement and progression right in the middle of the week. Just the thought makes me happier already.

Next up, there was another low. I was trying out my own domain email and it seemed like it didn't work. After some trial and error I found my mistake: I misspelled the word 'advice' which is part of my domain name (I had advise) which in my case wasn't correct. Excellent, my domain name contained a grammar error... After a quick search on WA I found that once you pick a domain name it can't be changed, you just have to get a new one. So, lucky me, I'm only two weeks in and I already contain two domains :D

I set it up so that all traffic will be forwarded to my new one and as it is valid for a year I'll just keep the old one for the first year. Maybe someone makes the same error and will still find my site.

As its always nice to end a post on a positive note, I've got one more high. The high of every beginner, but I think 3 out of 4 posts on my site got indexed! Brace yourself First Page, I'm coming for ya!

Well done on the indexing, Camille! As for the other--a lot of members here tend to feel the same way! Hang in there!

Hello Camille, it is nice to see your blog

I am sorry you had to learn the hard way about you unable to change domain name as a result of an grammatical error

It is awesome, however, that you can find the positive side to this.

I am happy that you are settling in and you have bow put aside one day each week to focus on your business

I wish you success on your way going forward

Thanks Simone!

You are welcome Camille
