Don't get impatient!
I learned an important lesson last night. I've been diligently working on my website and working through the courses but I started to get a little ahead of myself. In my eagerness to create relevant content on my website I started to add a lot of links to external websites...that's what affiliate marketers do right?
Well, I made it to Course 3 and learned that the number of links on your website can actually work against you in terms of getting ranked on Google and other search engines. It's obvious that the lessons in Course 3 are going to teach me how to place links strategically so that search engines don't penalize me for too many links.
My takeaway from this is that in order to see success here at WA it's incredibly important to work through the courses and lessons and to finish the tasks assigned when they are assigned. It's great to be adding relevant content, but don't get too far ahead of yourself. There is a reason that the lessons are ordered in the way that they are and you'll get the most out of the time you spend here by working through the training the way it's presented.
I'm so glad I kept going with the training and didn't assume that I could just jump ahead and do it alone. I've removed most of the links for now and will wait until I learn how to place them strategically to add them back on my website.

Thank you very much for sharing this with us! I l am learning not to be impatient as well. I spent all morning Optimizing my website for search engines and although my SEO is ranked as: GREAT - I couldn't find it on Google, so I got very discouraged. Then a remembered that it takes time for search engines to find and rank you. Even with great SEO.
Keep up the great work! You will get there. I know you will :)
I appreciate your post because like you I have been moving ahead of the lessons and was about to embark on the same path you took. Thanks for the advise and wisdom learned.
