Don't get so busy making a kiving, that you forget to make a life.

I saw this post on Facebook today that really hit home for me. It read, "Don't ever get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life". My daughter graduated from high school a few days ago and it made me think back to the choices I made when she was just a baby. I went back to work at "Corporate America" when she was only 4 months old, thinking that I could provide a better life for her. Looking back, sometimes I think this was a BIG MISTAKE because there are just some things that money just can’t buy. Children grow up so quickly and it just seems like the blink of an eye before they’re going off to college to pursue their own path in life.
My working definitely did allow us a happy, privileged life that I am very grateful for, but it had its costs, like missing the first time my daughter said, “Mama” or her first step or the tears running down her face as I left her at daycare, etc. I wish opportunities like Wealthy Affiliate were available to me when my daughter was young, so I could have had the “best of both worlds”. The concept of unlimited earning potential, no boss, no worries about layoffs and the flexibility to work from home on your own time so you can be there for your family seems like the “opportunity of a lifetime”.
Today we’re traveling from the East Coast to Hawaii and California for 2 weeks (my daughter’s graduation gift) and I’m taking my laptop along and will be able to continue working on my training and website in my downtime while on vacation. I don’t think there are too many business opportunities that allow you this flexibility. That is why I am so determined to do everything possible to develop a successful online business with the help of Wealthy Affiliate. I don’t ever want to be so busy making a living that I forget what is most important to me…spending time with my family and friends.
So if you're a newbie like me (especially if you have young children), don't get discouraged and never lose sight of what is most important to you. I think Wealthy Affiliate is a great opportunity if you are willing to put in the time and effort. It may be difficult at times, but remember your goals and never give up until you make your dreams a reality. Life is too short to get so busy making a living, that you don't have time for what means most to you in life.
