Killing the Demon of Procrastination
Procrastination is one of the greatest threats to our success, it lulls us to sleep on achieving our goals with the illusion that we will "do it later" and we are either asleep or idle while time marches by, gathering dust on our shelved projects.
I have been procrastinating about publishing a book using the God given talent of writing, I started several but never completed them because "later" seemed to satisfy the voracious appetite of the demon of procrastination, so on I slept, waiting for later, not realizing that the hidden secret about procrastination has little to do with "tomorrow" or "later" rather it has to do with a lazy, complacent mindset.
At the beginning of this year I identified three mountains in my life that I had to climb and conquer if I was going to drink from the wells of success, finishing and publishing my first book being one of them. I knew from past experience that publishing a book was not something I could afford at this time, so I made it a matter of prayer before the Lord.
Almost all of my business is conducted on Amazon, but I never realized that at the bottom of the main page they advertise that they "self publish". I clicked on the link and "boom!" there was the entire set up to do everything concerning publishing a book including help with cover design, formatting, layout, pricing, and marketing, all FREE services by amazon.
I was able to finish my book, upload my manuscript, complete all of the above, and 24 hours later, my first book was published on Amazon to the world at a cost of zero dollars and zero cents!
please help me celebrate! my book is entitled "SOUL FOOD" and its by Clyde Bain for sale on Amazon in digital download only for now. Its a 40 day devotional food for the soul and I would consider it an honor if wealthy affiliates comrades would support my first book. Truth is, its not even about the money, but its about the inner joy of accomplishment of completing a work you have sat on forever, and now it is out to the world so that others can be blessed with your God given talents as He designed it.
There are yet more mountains for me to climb, but this one is history. As far as finishing my first book is concerned, the demon of procrastination is dead, isn't it time to kill yours?

Hi Clyde. Thank you so much for showing me the way! I too, need to kill the demon of procrastination! I have at least two half-written manuscripts. And one of my business colleagues told me ages ago, that she saves my emails in a special folder so she can 'make money out of them when I am a famous writer'!!! (very tongue-in-cheek) It's more by way of trying to encourage me to use these talents and do something with them. I'm heading over to Amazon to buy your book!
