Has it seriously been a month already? I can't believe how fast time flies! Last month I started to get an organic hit here and there on my site. It was sporadic, but it was a start. How did I do this month? Let's get into it!
Traffic Update
Here's what my traffic looked like in October. This is October 1 - October 31.
And here is is Novermber 1 - November 27. (They don't have the data after the 27th yet.)
According to Google's Status page, it shows I have several queries on page 1. However, when I try to search them in Google, I can't find them. They are likely bouncing around. From doing SiteComments, I learned from VitaliyG that I am in the Google Sandbox. This is something, I learned, that everyone goes through with the first 6 months of any new site.

All in all, I'm happy with the traffic progress. I know as long as I keep writing, it will keep growing!
Content Update
I had a goal of publishing 25 articles in November.I did miss is by just a little! For some reason this says I published 23, but I pushed another one out last night and it should say 24. With Thanksgiving and traveling, I knew I wouldn't be able to hit 30, so I'm happy with 24.
Other Notes
- I boosted a post in Facebook this month. It got me a few extra likes, but nothing major. I need to learn to stick with free methods for now!
- 2 people signed up this month, but they didn't progress past the Free Membership
- I've seen some talk on here about Pinterest for traffic, so I started a new Pinterest account for this website. I went through a great training on here, and of course now I can't find it! But take a look at Pinterest and trying to grow your traffic from there. I'm going to be working a lot more on Pinterest this coming month.
Goals for December
- Write at least 20 posts this month. With Christmas and traveling (again), it's going to be tough doing more than that.
- Get an email autoresponder up and running! I am working on an email course and I'm about halfway done with it.
- Pin, Pin, Pin and learn more about Pinterest and how to drive traffic from there. This should be fun. I love Pinterest!
- Look into putting ads on my site. Does anyone still use Chitika? I got an email from them recently which reminded me that they exist.
