It's Been Some Time.

So I haven't been on here lately. I don't even know if the same faces are here. If so, hi! If not, hi to the new (to me) faces!

I never left as a WA member, but when the pandemic hit, I just completely lost all motivation to work on my website.

There was just so much going on that I couldn't get it together.

What brought me back here is I recently started a new website. I consider it a passion project (a fan website for a band that I really like), and it made me remember how much fun it is to create websites!

When creating it, I discovered that I basically had to start over and relearn how to do everything again because I forgot. The good news is, all of it came back really quickly!

(Once you go through that WA training a few times, it sticks deep in your mind somewhere. You just need to pull it back out.)

Here's what's really great...

The website that I worked so hard on pre-pandemic is still getting traffic, clicks, and sales. Even though I've barely touched it in 2 years!

And now I'm motivated to dust that site off and get it going again.

I think things have changed in the past couple of years, so I'll need to get up-to-date on everything.

One positive thing is that I used to whine about the block editor in Wordpress because I was used to the old-school way of doing things.

Now, I LOVE the block editor. It makes everything SO EASY. It makes me think a 5-year old could put a website together. Why was I complaining? lol

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I don't know if I'll be on the membership site too much. I work in a school and we go back at the end of August, so my time will be more limited then.
