Write What You Know
I just finished an article that I've wanted to write for a long time. In the past, I only drew pictures of it. If asked, I would explain it. But, I never wrote it up.
I wanted to write, "How To Start A Business". This has been on my mind and near to my heart for decades. I finally did it. It was easier than I thought.
I know a lot about this subject having started in business very young. Because of this, I still see it through a child's eyes. I was always embarrsed to communicate in this way, but how else would I say it? It's my point of view.
Another reaon I didn't write it, is because I thought no one would want or appreciate it. Writing is a lot of work to do for nothing. This has been my "writers block". I just didn't want to embarrass myself with these childish ramblings.
I've since overcome this. I had to, or be left with nothing to write. Due to WA training, I believe this information could help people. I realize now, that everyone starts at this point-at the beginning. No matter what age.
It helps to write about what you know. I believe this is the first rule of writing.
