Frustrated with my progress

Need to vent - and Release

This has been another stressful week for me at work, meaning my day job!

I, Have had a lot of things going on in my life and at work. And trying to get this Wealthy Affiliate business going. And having a lot of issues devoting the time I set for doing all this with my day job keeping me over for hours on end! I am losing my focus on this whole ordeal. Cant seem to get back on track when I set down to my computer and seems over whelming right now to me.

So, I am turning to the community of Wealthy Affiliates to try to get some incite and some answers to some questions. Could use some help on trying to keep notes somehow? To make this all a little easier for me? I feel bombarded with making sure I am doing everything right on here with this system. I, Have followed along with the training thus far. I, right now am on level 3 lesson 2 Understanding Affiliate Programs & Networks. I, Have signed up for a couple of affiliate networks and still havent heard back yet! And now I am asked to write a post and publish it on my website. What kind of post am I supposed to write about? I know I might be looking into this to hard but some times we get so caught up, we can't see the real picture. Also, doubting myself on my set up, that is of my Website!

Other issues are SEO set up and Google Analytics. Don't really understand how to add all this in my back office and to my Website? I really dont want to screw it all up and put me more behind than I all ready am. Seems as when I ask for feed back on my site, seems as if everything in the training is going OK and everything looks good so far. Maybe I am second guessing myself here! Just trying to hard I guess with the limited time I get to do this. I started all most 3 weeks ago and have put in 20-25 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. And 2-3 hours after work but here lately been getting home too late too.

How do I know if I am using the right keywords? How do I know if I am writing good content with my keywords? Can I use personal experiences in my content like I, Have been doing? I seem as if I turn one way get something positive and then it a rut or a stand still? Or maybe its me trying to hard or not seeing the whole picture. I mean it really seemed achievable! Maybe the little time I am away from my computer is the best solution for me. I am often driving to work thinking about what keywords to look up and what next to write. Hope I am writing great and helpful content. I try to use my experiences with parts and accessories and vehicle problems I, Have had or have helped others with. This is a big question for me?

Breaking down and asking for help is hard for me! But I, Have done it on here quite a bit and just seems like I am stuck somehow! My Website is in the early stages I understand this. I am trying to promote vehicle car and truck parts and asseccories. Writing about parts in general are tough, So I, Have been using diagnoses or certain break down issues in my content? Which I hope is what I need to be doing for my Website?

I would appreciate any help and incite on my issues and these dilemmas I am having. Everytime I, Have reached out with questions to the Wealthy Affiliate community have nothing but great things to say. Maybe I was over whelmed with the words, like SEO Frame Work or your DNS or Google Anaylitics. Not a Techy guy, but I am not backing down and like a challenge!

Trying to keep this all in perspective. And maybe I am not seeing the results I want for myself. Keeping this all straight forward and keeping it going is my main goal and to do and get done with the time I, Have. So bare with me and help if you can. I need to get more familiar with the terminology and get more organized. But is difficult for me when I am away from my computer for 4-5 days at a time and to get focused on what I had to do or get done next!

So I Vent to you- Thanks

These are just some of my issues and problems I am having. Thanks for reading

Hi Kevin,

Sounds like you’re not following Jay’s 14-Day Series. He answers every question and concern you raised. Each session is only 45 minutes. They are all recorded. I recommend you start with Session 1 and work through it all.

I know that the formal training Kyle gives is necessary. But it takes a lot of focus and time to go through it all.

Jay’s 14 day course compresses it all using what you need to know from start to finish. In just 14 classes.

Please check it out and let me know if it helps you.

You can find the link to the classes through magistudios profile page. That’s Jays WA profile name.

All the best.

Edwin

Hi there, Kevin! Stop, slow down, and take a breath. We have all been in your exact situation, that was not said to minimize what you are going through.

Keep this note in the back of your mind:

1. Decide how much time you can commit (per day, week, or month)
2. Take one lesson at a time, only jot down notes that you find hard to remember (you always have access to the training modules; therefore, avoid duplicating work)
3. Work at a pace that is comfortable to you (speed and broadening your knowledge base will come with time)
4. Lean on the community as often and as much as you need (but one issue at a time)
5. Think positive, avoid doubting yourself, and pat yourself on the back at EVERY turn ( you finish a module - pat, pat, you log into the community - pat, pat, or you read someone's post - pat, pat)

As far as what to write about, You did pretty good up top (this post), so you are not that far from where you want to be. Skill is developed over time and if it were easy everyone would be doing it.

It requires a lot of patience to teach yourself this new world. You are not alone.

No worries, Kevin. I get stressed sometimes as well. With either my site or just life in general and I have learned that's going to be part of life. I do get over it and feel better when I am less stressed so I am sure you will when you know what you are doing.

I wish you the best!

Hi Kevin
I understand your frustration. It is okay to vent
Venting releases tension and this clears away your brain fog :)

When you add your code to your website
Log into AIOSEO
Click on General settings
Click on Webmaster Tools
Scroll to miscellaneous
Click update or save
Add the code
Click verify

Let me know how you get on

I am understanding you but when I go to my SEO in my back office its not there after Webmaster tools. I have my code but no where to paste it?

AIOSEO?
Are you using another?

No trying to finish the lesson I am on in my back office and says to go to my Dashboard to the All in one SEO and its not there? So I went to the regular SEO tab on the Dashboard and it is totally different than the lesson and Google Analytics is not there either to add my tracking code ?

If you're saying that there isn't AIOSEO, are you using something else?
Have your website or any of your post been indexed by Google?

Hi Kevin looks like you were stuck of getting your SEO code to be inserted, have you got Ad inserter on your plugins? well if you haven't yet try to add it on añd use it to insery your SEO code

Not to worry Kevin, this happens to many of us, even when we know what to do. There are days when I'm in a zone and I'm unstoppable with my content creation.
The next day I can wake up and I'm in a fog wondering what I should do.

Remember this takes time no matter what and if your site is new you may want to leave the affiliate links off for a little bit. That is for Google, a site without affiliate links will stand a much better chance of ranking.

You can add them later in time. Training your mind to acclimate to this new habit of content creation is something that develops over time as well. One day you will find yourself able to pump out content with total ease for the most part.

When it comes to creating a post, I would go to the subject of what the post is going to be about using Google. This will give you ideas of what you can write and who your competition is going to be.

The idea is to just keep going no matter what, a site with a lot of posts will garner more attention from Google down the road. As you continue forward things become much easier as you go.

Below are links to some of the issues you mentioned and a blog post about writing the perfect blog post. Keep the training going and don't sweat the time, just do it as your time permits you to.

Hope this helps.
John
