Still Striving

Hi WA team!

I've been here since November 2018, working away at my home fitness website. Traffic is slowly building, made some great friends and regular contacts. I'm yet to see any affiliate commissions, but I haven't done that many product reviews yet.

I post once a week consistently. With other commitments, I have no time to post any more regular than this. Sometimes I'm feeling positive, other times a little dejected. I want to keep looking for that light at the end of the tunnel. Does anyone have some tips or uplifting thoughts to share? How long did it take you to start earning commissions?

In the meantime, I'll keep striving for my goals. I do love this site, everyone is so helpful and I've never been stuck finding an answer to my questions. You all rock! Take care.

Hi, I can relate how it feels to be in the waiting mode. Waiting for results you're expecting that is. Because I am in the same boat.

I've learned that there is a sequence of goals that must be accomplished before one can earn commissions. The two main ones are:

Developing High Traffic
Converting some of that traffic into paying customers.

At Wealthy Affiliate we are taught how to achieve these goals. It may be simple, but not easy as most of us find out.

I'd like to suggest reviewing the lessons taught by Kyle in his OEC and Bootcamp lessons that address these goals. Then go to the Live Events and check out Jay's more in depth webinars on these subjects.

There are experienced members in WA who have also published training on these topics. You can access these in the Training tab on the left.

Review your website posts to see how closely they come to meeting the standards to achieve high traffic. There are oh so many factors involved, You don't have to do all of them at once. Do a few first. Then work your way through the others.

However, there is one truth that cannot be avoided to succeed. Even if your posts meet the standard, in order for Google to rank you high consistently, you need to write a boat load of posts. Those who have achieved earning commissions have about 100 posts and more on their website.

Try as hard as you can to increase your rate of adding quality posts with effective Keyword Titles into your website. BTW, I am also giving this advice to myself. And thought I'd share it with you.

All the best.

Edwin

Thanks Edwin, that's great advice!

I do find building traffic the hardest part. It's happening far slower than I'd like. I haven't done the bootcamp training so I'll make that my top priority. It's good to get an idea of how many posts successful bloggers have. I'll have to reevaluate my schedule and see how I can get more productive.

I appreciate you sharing this information, it's great. I wish you all the best with your endeavours and hopefully we can swap success stories in the future :)

You will do it. One step at a time.
Cheers.
Edwin
