Success! What does it mean to you?
Today I thought I would give you my spin on Success.
What is it?Is it achievement, accomplishment, triumph, realization, attainment?
It is all of these things.
And how is it measured?
Everyone measures success in different ways but ultimately you are the one who decides exactly what it means. You define your own success.
So, what do I think it takes to be successful?
As a working mum for many years, I juggled a job, household responsibilities, and the raising of my kids and all things pertaining to this type of lifestyle. So needless to say life was hectic at times, and as a result I was as some say “Time poor”. There was a realization that changes would have to be made to accommodate the transition from being a full time mum to a working mum.
I quickly became aware, that I would need to manage my time efficiently, if I were to pull this off successfully. Short of becoming a super mum, and eh, I wasn’t going there, things had to change.
Some people are afraid of change, afraid to step out of their comfort zone, afraid to take action. Don’t be, without making changes your life cannot change.
I set about establishing what was important to me.
I had to set goals and decide how I was going to achieve them’
I started my day with a list of tasks in order of priority and set about completing and ticking off those things off each day as they were done. I took action. This is something that I believe is critical to success. Without it nothing will change.
There were times when it was necessary to engage the help of my hubby and kids, and thankfully they were mostly supportive. So with cooperation and sometimes sheer will power things got easier and our lives were changed. I believe, for the better.
My kids are now off achieving there dreams and doing well, and hubby isstill is his loving and supportive self, who at this time is off playing war games with the military up in Shoalwater Bay in Queensland, Australia and will be returning within the next week. I can’t wait to share with him what I am doing in WA.
So, now begins a new phase of my life.
I currently work a part time job and do surveys online, which affords me a part time income.
My goal now is to create an online business which will allow me to initially replace my part time income and in time create a fulltime income or better. Even though there will be a huge learning curve I believe I can achieve this.
Success is a journey and it is never to late to turn your life around.
Believe you can, take action and enjoy creating your own milestones
