What A Great Post

What a great post and just when I needed a reminder of what and where and how a greater power is already inside me. It is what makes me what I am. When I worked for the US Forest Service, Six Rivers National Forest, Mad River Ranger District, I lived there, made fires to cook food and warm myself, made shelter out of whatever was available. When I wasn't actually working, my family and I lived in a two bedroom cabin. This is a place where winter is really winter. Three foot of snow stopping any movement on roads. And the only source of heat we had was a wood stove but we were all content. My brother and his family came to visit and they complained about everything. My brother told me that I needed to go to a church and pray for God to come and help me. I tried to tell him that I didn't have to go a church, that all the forests and wilderness were where I came closest to my higher power. I didn't have to pray for anything to come to me. My higher knew when I was in need and my use of the materials and environment were my thanks to my higher power. And all that came from inside of me. What a realization that was. We are of our higher power, we can do anything, we can overcome anything The more you need, the more your inner higher power provides. You shall not want for anything ever if you understand your relationship with your higher power and open yourself to it's gifts.
