New Signature - First Impressions?
Update 5th May 2020 - You can now get your own Free Animated Signature here!
I've seen quite a few members here with animated signatures, so I thought I would create my own :-)
I'd like to open this up to a discussion, to see what the general consensus is regarding these, if you have time, would you be able to answer the following questions for me?
- What are your thoughts on signatures in general?
- What are your thoughts on animated signatures?
- Do you think they look professional?
- Do you think they look gimmicky and tacky?
Anything else you would like to add?
And whilst you're here, I'll happily take any constructive criticism over my own new signature :-)

Hi Chrystopher,
I’ve seen a few of the animated signatures on here created by gif-mania.
My first thoughts where that I didn’t like them because they didn’t look professional or businesslike.
Although I have to say they have been growing on me and I have even thought of looking into gif-mania too.
Yours is different, larger, more in your face, does it distract from post content?
For me the jury is out but I am “training” myself to be more open minded to these new ideas, when I started in business nearly 40 years ago it was old school, things have changed a lot since then.
I am not afraid to go with change though and you may well see an animated signature pop up on my posts too!!
Andy.
haha no worries, if you want to PM me your tag line, I'll create one for you, that way you get to trial it to see if it grows on you :-)
I noticed this signature of yours earlier today Chrystopher. I must admit it's not something I've ever done but I think it's catchy and thought provoking.
It's a decent branding tool when coupled with your byline and if somebody asked me on here who the work from home coach was I'd probably remember it was you. From that viewpoint it worked!
What tool did you use to create it?
Mark
That's great feedback Mark, really appreciate it, thank you.
I used Doodly, which I have had for over a year now. I use it for creating Whiteboard, Chalkboard and Glassboard videos for Local Businesses.
Once I created the video in MP4, I ran it through an online converter to GIF
No problem Chrystopher, happy to oblige!
Ah yes, Doodly. I've seen ads for that recently for a lifetime/yearly fee dropped way down from its previous number.
Good info :-)
Mark
Hey, Chrys.
My first impression?
Geez, boss's signature! Always great in fulfilling fields.
But I guess it's ok, depending on your NICHE TYPE, and can appear PRO or not, back to the tastes of each person. Not everyone has the same tastes and perspectives.
We are just accustomed to old habits and values.
Right?
Hey, this is a smart way to get to know people.
Great!
Ok, Chrys, have fun with people's opinions :)
Bye
Sylvia
Thank you Sylvia, and yes, completely agree with you :-) It's like Marmite, you either love it or hate it, I personally love it haha I very often do teo pieces of toast, one with raw honey and one with marmite haha If i'm feeling adventurous, maybe chocolate spread haha
Hey, does it sound like anyone wants a second lunch? Lol
[Am I right? here 21.02. so in England 3.02.
Different time around 6 hours.]
Why should I not like it? It's unique. If I prefer it's colored, like bronze or the moon's colors, but that's your adventure :)
I just wonder about marmite, what is it?
a kind of yeast?
ah... I hope it's a delicious bread :)
I honestly don't know. I've never been involved with marmite, but stories about your adventures, I like that. Thanks for sharing it :)
I think it's a Brit thing Chrystopher and I'm not sure how well it travels...the comparison thing not the jar that is, the jar thing travels well of course, unless you smash it in transit, and then, well, what a mess!!
I love it by the way...tried the Aussie "version" Vegemite...yuck!!
I'll shut up now...lolsssssss
Mark
haha Thank You Mark, you've made me smile :-) Not that I haven't been smiling all day of course ;-) I'll shut up now as well haha
Hi Chris, I have to say Im not overly fond of animated signatures in general.
However, it does depend on where its been used. I do think it may not be professional.
But it does say more than a static page. If its a subtle movement in the logo I find it quite appealing
Thanks Jen.

Seeing your animated signature is the first time I've realised ChrYstopher, in you case, has a Y and not an I!
It's a memorable signature and I like it, an animated signature is not to everyones liking but so what.
It is impossible to please everyone so if it works for you go with it.
Cheers
Rick
haha yeah, thank you Rick for the feedback, it’s appreciated :-)
