I'm on Google page 1 and I had no idea :-)
I just had to share this. I was doing some research for a new blog post I was planning, and so I typed into the Google search bar "history of harpies and pirates." I scroll down, trying to find some useful info and suddenly I come across my very own post! In position 7, right after a military history site :-)
And this site is fairly new. What a surprise! :-)

Congratulations. This is exactly what I wanted to see. You wrote that article in July and it took 4 months for a new site to get that article in position 7 on Google. You gave us evidence that shows us your credibility and sincerity. Google does say the average for new sites with high-quality content is three to four months so this is about right. It's not credible to believe a several-day new domain site with the first article written two days before gets on Google's number one rank. No way. These are one of my pet peeves from new people who blur the lines between indexing and ranking. Sigh. I am sure you have seen those. I am glad you showed us. Can I have your permission to use your blog post as an example? Thanks so much. It's a nice surprise indeed.
Hi Brenda,
I hadn't even looked at the date I published that article. Of course, you can use my blog post as an example :-)
Thank you for your comment! And I'd like to see your blog post when you have written it. :-)
