Beware of Shiny Object Syndrome!
Guys, we are living in an exciting time! It is easier AND cheaper than ever to build, scale, and grow a profitable business online. The training, tools, and support are accessible to anyone willing to put in some time and effort.
Sure, the days of needing a million dollars to buy a McDonalds franchise and work five years before you turn a profit are GONE! And I am glad to say that the playing field has been leveled. I can make my website look just as impressive as Apple Computers. It's great! But there is a potential downfall to all of this opportunity.
If you are a true entrepreneur putting in the work (not a hobbyist) and constantly learning skills that will make you a success, then I know that you are constantly bombarded with offers, deals, courses, trainings, and the latest "Work one hour a day. Make a million" business opportunity.
In addition to creating valuable content, social engagement, and email marketing, you have another job that is just as important (if not more). Avoiding Shiny Object Syndrome.
Shiny Object Syndrome is the act of pursuing every new (shiny) opportunity that comes along, believing that it will, on some level, replace hard work and persistence. Don't get me wrong, learning and education are key in this business. But when you find yourself being a regular consumer of content and producing little to none, it may be time to re-evaluate.
Guys, I have looked at a LOT of business opportunities and trust me, if you are reading this blog you are in the right place. Wealthy Affiliate is the best deal in town.
Follow the training and take action. It is as simple as that! If you are not a Premium Member, upgrade. It may be the best investment youv'e ever made if you put in the work.
Social media followers are NOT yours. They can be taken away in an instant. Ask me how I know? Your website is YOUR own Internet real estate. It is YOUR footprint. It is YOUR brand. It's YOUR house, where you entertain and engage your audience.
Working one hour a day and making a million dollars is not real. But making four figures a month is EASY if you do what it takes and stay consistent.
On your daily list of things to do to grow your business, include deleting emails and avoiding websites and sales videos that represent shiny objects.
Fall in love with your website, your brand, your quest, and your audience AGAIN and see what happens...
Cheers

Many of us have been caught out by the shiny object syndrome, and some have learned how to combat it.
It still rears its ugly head every so often.
