I'm looking to find out more about affiliate marketing; I tried it before, around six or seven years ago with a blog that started to get some decent viewing figures, and seemed to be getting good feedback and comments, but unfortunately I didn't get too far with affiliate links. I had signed up to Amazon Associates and a few companies within my niche and in the two or three years I was doing it, I got a fair few clicks, but none have ever converted. There's also Google Adsense on there which made the princely sum of around $5!
I didn't really do it for the money, as it was a subject I was really into, and I thought I was writing some quality stuff, but since then I had less time and inclination to write, and now I'm less interested in that niche.
So now I'm hoping to find inspiration and learn the right way to do affiliate marketing. I'm working through the training step-by-step, and have chosen another niche; so far I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Everyone here seems very friendly and helpful too!
Hopefully this time I'll stick with it, and make more successful sites.
