The Neighbourhood Ambassador
I have no idea when she came to our neighbourhood. I do know there was some territorial nudging with her circle of friends. And sometimes, some of these nudging were ferocious.
We did not become friends immediately. I was on unfriendly terms with her as she liked to dirty my front porch.
Strangely, she visits me on a daily basis, regardless of my disdain. So I was even more surprised when I heard that she likes visiting and are friendly to my neighbours, to the extent that she likes to view every corner of the house. It gets challenging to close doors to this friendly ambassador.
We only become friends when she kicked her habit of dirtying my front porch. Then after, she keeps to her daily schedule, dropping by in the morning and evening. As a home-keeper, lonely at times, I will look forward to her visits as we can have some fun together. And I enjoy observing her behaviour and habits, I like to see her run, leap or being still and watchful.
A friend of mine could not understand my recent idiosyncrasy while most of my friends find me hilarious. I am simply happy to meet this friendly yet aloof ambassador, my new friend The Cat.
