I've been on roller coaster many times. It has been a despondent, followed by an exciting ride or vice versa. Worth the time? Not that I really have had a choice. But I believe the time spent is not the least productive but I get to learn more about myself.
Roller coaster rides have its fun and downsides, more importantly I have more opportunities to learn how to manage my condition. Each ride, ups and downs, develops my coping skills, and strengthens my resilience. It allows me to shape my values, and to focus on what I really want.
I want to get well, be functional and productive, and to be able to give back to society especially in the field of mental well-being.
Roller coaster rides are adrenaline-charged, exciting, and fun. My illness, with its ups and downs, though less enjoyable, teaches me a lot about compassion, patience, perseverance. I hope I can overcome the downsides of these rides, and genuinely enjoy being a person with Bipolar Disorder.
