Tribute to Myself

This blog is dedicated to my progress on WA so far, as required in Course 2 of Getting Started.

I have been on WA for two and a half weeks, squeezing in 1-3 hours each day where I can. My website, nourishedlifehappywallet.com has received a few visitors, mostly WA members and my own friends. I have only posted two blogs and added content to one page.

"Big deal, why are you so proud?"

Allow me to provide some context: I'm training on WA and developing my site while attending 16 hours of college classes (plus homework, this equates to a full-time job), creating content for six hours at a fast-moving media company, volunteering five hours at a children's museum, and STILL getting enough sleep and food... every. single. week.

All of this work is utterly exhausting because I have a bittersweet habit of putting far more effort than necessary into everything I do. However...

Very few people my age can say they own a business AND work practically two full-time jobs while earning a college degree. Also, I haven't seen a SINGLE piece of negative feedback about my website, and I have so much support that it nearly brings me to tears. I am now a success story and my hard work is paying off.

In other success news...

My biggest non-financial accomplishment has been my health. I have chronic abdominal pain among other things, and I can't afford a superb diet. Just a few days ago, I ran two miles nonstop without a SINGLE ounce of pain. This is a HUGE deal. After adjusting my eating habits (the inspiration of my niche), I feel awesome. In a streak of irony, two days ago I actually broke my toe. It has put a damper on my success and will make exercise difficult once again, but I'm not discouraged. I now feel like I can come back from any obstacle.

In three months, I'll be studying abroad in Italy and making rent payments for my off-campus apartment at home. Right now I don't have enough saved for rent, so my goal is to supplement my part-time income with my website - enough to cover expenses.

In six months, I hope to earn enough for basic expenses plus savings to pay back my parents' loan. Someday I'll be saving enough to travel again and bring back more souvenirs!

Chelsea, I hope your toe gets better soon! I myself have IBS, I am not sure if any of your recipes could help that, but I will definitely keep watching!
Melissa

My first post was about ginger, which has been used for AGES as an anti-inflammatory. It relieves gastrointestinal pain, and is a common remedy for nausea. I think it would help you! The side effects I face seemed lessened after I started eating ginger. Here's the link to the post: http://nourishedlifehappywallet.com/rooting-for-ginger
I hope this helps you (:

If you get a chance, maybe check out my "Meet Chelsea" page - it will tell you a little more about the condition I have. I'm trying to inspire people who have similar problems!

Hope your toe heals quickly and you can get back to your regimen. You are such an inspiration! Good luck.

Eat plants!

Chelsea good for you. You clearly have the right attitude to succeed. Dealing with chronic pain amongst all the other things you have to deal with isn't easy - nor is trying to combine internet marketing with studying. Best of luck. :) Beverley

Thank you so much; I'm starting to believe that myself, which only strengthens my determination!

Chelsea, with the amount of determination I feel coming from you I think that you are going to have a very successful life. Keep working it!
