surviving the Christmas season

I am a holiday kind of guy. I just love to give my girlfriend flowers on sweetest day, my grandchildren little trinkets on easter and other holidays for now reason. Christmas is a whole new animal. All my family thinks Christmas is all about spending money on gifts and trying to impress those around you. Blah....

To me it is about the little gifts, the decorating, the singing of carols, the christmas cookies...lol. When the pilgrims came to this country they did not have a Walmart to shop at. When our immediate ancestors came here they lived in a rooming house and worked in factories. They didn't have the cash for expensive Christmas gifts. It should be about giving something that has meaning and receiving it as such.

Many of us have J O B S we have to go to which can be a drag during the holidays. The rush to get year end reports done and the last minute sales to hopefully qualify us for a bonus.

I think of Christmas all year around. To me Santa lives within us all.
