Hello Everyone! First Referral!
Hello Everyone,
It's been a while since I've had some time to be in WA. Since my last post on July 2nd, I have worked hard to transition to my new job which I started last Monday.
I love my job, but going from working until 3-4 am, to now working mornings was a killer last week! I think this week will be easier for my schedule. I love the new job though!
While away, I was also in the process of doing some things. I started a merchandising business (apparel, mugs, engraved wood photos, etc), which is set to officially open on Aug 15th. I have also started marketing to people I know (offline) who are interested in starting a business.
I was able to sign one up! She is planning to go premium but hasn't yet. I also have a few more I am working on so hopefully those people pan out.
I have been working on the same post for the last 2.5 weeks. It was fairly long, but mostly it was due to lack of time. I worked on it a bit each day and finally finished it tonight. I am hoping this week goes better with my schedule and I can focus more on writing. I kept falling asleep while writing last week LOL.
I am glad to be able to spend some time here again. I love the community here in WA! Sorry to have briefly faded to the background. It's been a challenging 3 weeks between the two jobs, school, and trying to write and open the business.

Congratulations! That is wonderful news! It is great you like your new job and have WA referrals as well.
One of my referrals is a friend of my husband's who runs a general contracting business (home building and remodeling). He is swamped with local business so he doesn't do much with his website at all now but he needed a website so people could find him. He has happily hosted his site for the business here at WA for many years now.
That seems like a good avenue to pursue (local businesses that need a website) even if they don't want to make online business their goal. I keep thinking I should look for more local businesses like his for referrals.
Anyway, congratulations!
Jessica
Thank you!
I actually ordered a table, custom-made, for my new business venture from a local place that makes custom-made wood furniture. I inquired wth him about affiliate marketing but he doesn't offer it. I'm hoping he'll change his mind as they have really great furniture.
I think that's great what your friend does. Since he is not home building and remodeling, if he is interested, I now work for a company that makes wood panels for floors and walls. If he would be interested, our marking VP told me they are looking for more affiliate marketers. She told me I am allowed to sign up too which I found interesting.
Thank you so much!

Chastity, I know where you are coming from. It's not easy to combine a day job with working as an affiliate marketer. You come back home drained of every ounce of energy, and it takes a supreme effort of the will to sit behind your computer to craft a post.
Yes, it does when you're working long hours! I enjoy it most days, but some days it is rough but I believe it will all be worth it someday.
