Charismatic for that question;it did help me gain some more insight from those who started earlier than me on some pertinent ROI[return on investment] here at WA. Its true for now one can not start counting the benefits of WA on monetary returns but so far i've learned a lot about systematically build a website and many other cool stuffs which i wouldn't have learned if not for WA.
Nonetheless can't wait to actually start earning financially via this platform.

Benjamin, realistically it is a function of how fast you can build a website, provide content/information people want to see, create trust and provide products/services that fill people's need to solve problems or improve their lives.

Personally, my strategy is creating a website promoting Wealthy Affiliate. My "products" website will follow.

I am wrapping up my first month at WA and loving it so far! I had the same questions as you in hopes to make my original investment back pretty quickly, but I have not made a single penny from my blog yet. I did however, refer a friend to WA and earned a whole $1 for their Free Trial sign up! Yay! :)
What I want to share with you is the experience I've received in my first month. 30 days ago I didn't know what an affiliate program was, or how important keywords are to my blog, or the google will punish me for over publishing on social media and selling too much. I learned all of that and so much more in just one month! Thanks to WA.
I decided to create a 6 month Reality Plan, to test my ability and dedication to my blog. In months 1 and 2 (spending a total of $80 for my membership fees and purchasing my domain), I plan to learn everything I can and establish a foundation for my site, build traffic through networking and develop a routine to keep me active and involved. In month 3 (total investment will be $127) I want to earn a minimum of $50 to pay for that months fee. Month 4 (Investment will be $124)I plan to double those earnings and continue to double in Month 5 and 6. By month 6 I should have paid my total investment and have earned $82!
That is the goal, but it could be better or worse depending on my efforts. I wish you luck in your online business and let me know if I can help with any questions!
