How often do you post new content?

I have heard variations...2-3x per week, more or less. I have been posting daily, would that ever be too much for indexing purposes?

Also, I have heard 1000-1500 words per article but honestly when reviewing some of y'alls posts 1500 words can be waaaay too much to get a simple idea across. Any general rules of thumb?

I'm sure there have been plenty of discussions on this but any help is much appreciated!!

I write once a week but going to try to up it to twice a week.
My average post is about 800 words. More for reviews and comparisons. More blah blah is necessary there.

What matters most is what works for you. I post daily usually my post vary in length depending on the subject. It works for me.

Hi Ben, I stumbled across something about post length the other day and it basically said that long content gets more love from Google because they can more easily work out what its about and you rank for more keywords from it.

I try to post twice a week. I say, post as often as you like so long as the quality is good and don't be afraid to go deeper.

Cheers,
Cath

You can post as much as you like, as fast as you can come up with ideas and as fast as you can write, I have learnt here that the search engines don't trust new sites because they don't know if they will be consistent in the long run. So posting often, is a way of winning their hearts. So daily posts,.... I dream of that - often. Cheers.

I post 2-3 times a week and I believe your post should be at least 400 words! Mine average out at about 800 words, a few have been around 500 words and some have been 1300 words, It depends on your subject matter! Not don't want to babble on if the subject does not warrant it, but by the same token you don't want to be too brief! A good balance is the key! Cheers, Lisa
