However, when people are searching it d
Literally type in best "drones for xyz exploration" and "best drones" and see where they take you in Jaaxy. Take the keywords from Jaaxy you like and send them through to see what you get.
You can also send "best drones for xyz exploration" through the Google Keyword Planner and use its output to seed into Jaaxy.
On some niches the keyword research for the blog topic will by necessity be different than the keyword research for the affiliate products. Handle each on their own merits.

I ran into this problem as well I. I would watch Jay's last video. There is a wealth of knowledge in it.
Many site owners are deliberately targeting misspelled, etc keywords to leverage the typing errors made by the searchers
Also several awkward phrases can be successfully incorporated in sentences to make them more "natural" ... Sometimes by adding, inserting simple stop words that won't be considered by search engines ... For example "houses New York" is awkward but "houses in New York" is a perfect keyword ...
Similarly, search engines won't consider periods, etc ... Just an idea for your example:

Ok thanks, so you're saying that if I incorporate the two words into a longer sentence that made sense, it would still get traffic from the person typing in the two fragmented words?
NO!
If those two words are separated by pharagraphs ends and beginnigs (for example "nature" is the last word in a paragraph and "exploring" is the first word in the next paragraph), or they are separated by stop words like in, what, why, how, etc, in other words, "elements" that are not considered by search engines, than is OK.
But if you simply "insert" 10 other words between those two terms to build a grammatically correct sentence, than won't work.
it could be part of a longer phrase the sites are using
if you look for money as a keyword you will get loads of searches, but this is made up of all of the phrases which include money along with money on its own.
so if you look at the sites ( top 10) which are using the keyword - what is the context? are they part of a longer phrase?

you will get ranked for keywords that goolge thinks, you will see these start to appear in webmaster tools - or whatever it is called now.
don't sweat trying to get ' the best keyword ever' as google may not think your article is relevant and not rank you for it.
so as you are taught here, pick topics relevant to your niche, find natural keywords, write the articles, and you will include other keywords naturally, and then link your site together.
site structure, external linking, internl linking and visitors are more important than trying to get a keyword that doesn't make sense.
but yes include it in a sentence and your title.

In securing a domain, how necessary is it to also purchase the other variations to avoid copycat sites? (.net, .info, etc)

I would say make sure you secure the dot com but leave the others there are so many you can have now with different extensions.
I would say that anyone actually buying another extension for your domain is not that serious otherwise they would go for the dot com. The choice of course is yours.

I would say make sure you secure the dot com but leave the others there are so many you can have now with different extensions.
I would say that anyone actually buying another extension for your domain is not that serious otherwise they would go for the dot com. The choice of course is yours.

Maybe contact the companies and ask if they have an affiliate program if they have something else in place I am sure they will tell you. Sometimes its not that obvious that they have an affiliate program so always worth an ask.
If nothing else you are putting yourself and your brand in the vision and who knows where that might lead.

If nothing else you are putting yourself and your brand in the vision and who knows where that might lead.

In structuring your articles Kyle may not use the term but he does show you how to draw readers to one conclusion and that is to take the next step you would like them to take after reading your post.
