My Journey So Far - Measured in Minutes Not Miles
How I Got Where I'm At Today
For me that answer is simple. I wanted to take control of my financial future. And to remedy that situation I choose to take the path of affiliate marking! The reason why I choose affiliate marketing solely because of the freedom of choice you have at your disposal to determine who, what, where, when, why, and how. And the best part its on your own time! The vast nature of the marketplace makes it seem like there is an infinite number of directions I can go. That's right. I'm at a crossroad. What direction should I take? well with time I'm sure to figure it out. But that's part of the adventure in the world of affiliate marketing. Now I find myself at this pivotal point. Which direction to go? I've got time to figure out where I am and a lot more to time to figure out where I'm going next.
Time To Get Serious About Time
Now how can you measure your dedication to your concentration? Goals? Perhaps... Money??? Yeah maybe you could with that. What about time? Why not? It's the perfect unit of measure to evaluate our progress and efforts. But in the other hand. Time is a fickle thing. Time has a way of tricking yourself into thinking you have been working 4 hours all the long its only been only 45 minutes and vice versa. On the other hand what about misuse of time? Let us use "deviating trajectories" or simply put, "getting off track". "Deviating" or "get off track" from one task to the next task trying to cover multiple operations to achieve the same target is more time-consuming than time saving. Sometimes looking from the outside in gives you a greater perspective of time management and maximizing potential. Yeah it is a bit critical of one's self, but you may never know how much potential you lose from useless movement. For example, try breaking down certain aspects of a task you may preform on a daily bases. Sometimes when doing this you can find something to adapt or improve, which in turn can improve performance. With that being said, these tweaks could lead to better productivity and ultimately utilizing more potential in you day.
Time management is a concept with a broad meaning. Everyone in my opinion has a different view on the matter of time management. Take me for example. I like a more regimented approach to time management, more than likely from my military background. Now on the other hand. Someone else with a different background than myself would have a different approach to managing their time and or task(s) at hand. What I'm getting at is this. No matter what your specific approach to how you manage your time dedicated to your business, your hobbies, your education or your dreams, There is no right or wrong answer! The individual effort you put into your specific concentration is what you get out of it. And at the end of the day if you are happy with the end results then be proud of what you accomplished. I am a complete believer of this school of thought and it has served me well in the past and more than likely well into the foreseeable future.
Time Well Spent
As I said before, "There is no wrong answer" in regard to how you spend your time move towards you targeted goals. For each of us, time spent plays a role in our own perspective what "time well spent" means. Also, taking in the consideration and understanding that we all have individual situations playing out in our lives that differ tremendously from person to person that add to our own unique experience. And situation dictating, you may have X amount of time to put toward your progression and that is perfectly fine. As long as you make progression a primary factor in hitting your own targets and achieving your goals on your time. Please bear in mind. That these are just my own perspectives considering the topic of discussion.
Here I'll give you a personal example. With the recent completion of targeted training I had set for myself from my personal training checklist. I set forward with a goal in mind and I saw it to completion. Regardless of the time it took me to meet my target I stayed on track. I would have to say that I am happy with my time spent achieving my overall goal. Which is to become a competent and knowledgeable affiliate marketer as a long term goal. I for one like to log in a seriously good amount of work per day, and at least make progression to scratch a few things off the to-do list. So why not reward yourself with a well deserved break? Time to relax!
Time For A Break
Is taking a break a bad thing? NO!!! I personally fully endorse taking breaks and time away. The goal is keep the mindset of enjoying doing what we do every day, and not make it a burden. That reason alone is strong supporting factor why we all made the decision to be in the community we are in today. To be completely transparent, I took a day off yesterday. I didn't do anything besides sit on the couch and watch some TV. It was much-needed to recharge the capacitors after a few grueling days of just conduction training I set forward for myself.
On a serious note. Overloading yourself and pushing the limit day in and day out is counter-productive not only for you progress but for your body and overall health. Think about it in the terms of using a pencil. Overtime it wears down and becomes dull which requires sharpening. The same concept applies to us as well. Over time over working and pressure wear us down and make us dull. That's where taking a break makes us sharp again. Just this morning I started into training and I had four new ideas that just leaped out to me after a few days of seemingly beating my head off my desk. Total lock! The difference a little reset does is a difference of night and day. So be kind to you brain and let it rest.
Time To Get Back At It
Now it's time to get back at it! Whether your approach to getting back to work after a well deserved break is head first at full speed ahead, or at your leisure. Just get back into it! Start researching, start training, start planning your next move and setting targets to reach. Progression is key but it is done at a pace you are comfortable with. And that is the freedom of time that we have. And the best ally to have on our side.
When it's time to immerse ourselves back into our routine, its important to stay motivated and focused on your priorities ahead of you. I know its great to revile of current accomplishments but that is one milestone of many ahead on you journey. Don't' overlook the small victories. Use what you learn and in time you will have more accomplishments to marvel over.
Wrapping Up
Whether you have time on a shoe string or time o' plenty. What we do and how we choose our time ultimately defines our own unique experiences moving toward our own specific targets or goals no matter what they maybe. Funny... Time is a fickle thing.

Jordan
