Google does respond to webspam reports, keyword stuffing, cloaking
I had given up hope on Google.
I have mentioned a couple of times regarding a certain company cloaking our and other business names and showing up like he has linked to us.
His host allows these practices. I did speak with the gentleman and offered to provide reciprocal links, he did not want to do this as it may take some of his business away. Well, we don't make caskets or the same type of furniture; I did not think this would affect him. His take on this is he isn't doing anything illegal. So, therefore he didn't have remove or change anything.
I had given up hope that Google would do anything about this situation, even though they clearly prohibit this type of activity.
I received an email this morning. They are sending the information to the webspam report staff.
They provided a direct link (which I could not find when emailing them) to use in the future to report webspam.
I am not sure if I can post that link here but will gladly provide it or add it if it is allowable.
I probably would not have had a problem with this gentleman's antics if he was further away. He is only about 80 miles from us. In these small towns that is like being "just down the road".
I'm very satisfied to see that Google will take some kind of action and stand behind the TOS that they expect from each and every one of us to follow.

Hey Celine. Good news. From WA point of view, no problem posting a link as long as it isn't a referral link or for promo purposes. would be handy to have bookmarked!
Celine, that is great that Google is going to help you. Hopefully you will get it sorted out now.
