Fear? My own
F. E. A. R. - False evidence appearing real. Many of you have heard this before. I think it's gotten to be a bit cliche'. However...
Someone's blog brought it straight home for me. Hit me right between the eyes if you get what I mean. He hit it right on the head. Nailed it. Got my attention.
No, this isn't a business letter, and I want to get this out before the ol' fear kicks in and I spend more hours editing it than writing it.
The only evidence that I come up with that appears real I make up myself. It is only real to me.
If I keep sitting on the first blog and do not get my own domain because I am afraid it's not the right niche, that I can't possibly come up with something interesting enough for someone to keep reading... if, if, if, but, but, but......you know what I mean.
Fear. The key to my procrastination.
I need to get a move on. Ok. So what if I run out of things to write about one subject. It isn't like I don't know little something about something else.
No one else is going to post this for me any more than someone is going to post my first blog on a website.
So here you go. My first. I am going to post it before I work myself up into not posting it.
Please, forgive the grammar and spelling on this one. As I said I could be here for five hours editing it to make it just so.
If you made it this far, thank you, it's greatly appreciated.
Celine

Hey Celine! You're doing great. Don't let that Fear overwhelm you. We all have it at times, but now is the time for you to realize you're a good writer and have no reason to be afraid. Write away my friend!!
Hi Celine, The FEAR you have is because you are out of your "comfort zone" You fear that no-one will like what you have produced. Worst still you fear that they might ridicule it.
So what!!
No-one is going to shoot you are they!!
Do your own thing. We are all our own worst enemies/judges..
I'm closer to 100 than 0 and I ask questions that 90% of the WA members would think as basic .
But as Rhett Butler said " I don't give a damn"!
Cheers and keep your chin up, Mike
Thank you. I know I'm my own worst enemy. I'm a pretty good critic too! lol
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone.
Writing is a muscle.. it gets easier with time. Get the first one going. Screw up even. Learn by doing vs over-thinking. I liked this post and happy to see you moving forward.
Celine, Way to go girl. You know with anything when it is the first time doing something that nasty of fear bug kicks in. I say let it roll.
Brenda
Hi Celine64....Congrats on your first blog. I really enjoyed it. You are right that fear can make us freeze in place, and not be able to move forward. I've been in that position myself from time to time. Melanie

It all stars with baby steps, one step at a time. You have to crawl before you can walk and then pull your self up and hang on. Then you get brave and let go and hang on with one hand. The next step is sideways one step at a time. After that step coming letting go and taking baby steps to reach your goal or the open hands and hearts that are here at WA. You have mastered those baby steps and now you taking bigger steps hanging on to WA for support. As you take each step it is getting easier and easier and you will master all the steps and so many more. Soon you will running and then skipping, laughing as you help others.
