The Maze of Training - A Few of My Favorite Things
I wondered at how to begin my first blog..... Eventually it came to me from the lyrics of the Sound of Music. So these are "a few of my favorite things about Wealthy Affiliates".....
I stepped into the giant maze not really knowing which way to go. Was I stepping into something I might regret? Could I be successful in affiliate marketing? I had lots of questions, not really understanding how it all worked.
I was immediately welcomed like a new born baby with numerous messages - most of them were even very personal...... Hmm, I thought. Such a very welcoming community - and everyone seemed eager to help. This was a new experience for me and.....is one of my favorite things about WA. It validated my conviction that "I can do this!"
It has been a whirlwind six weeks since I joined the Wealthy Affiliates community and I am honestly amazed at how much I have accomplished, along with making some really friendly connections. I was also super impressed not by the periodic messages I received from Kyle, BUT by the fact that he bothered to respond to my own return messages. This is another one of my favorite things about WA.
I dove into the training.with both feet, aiming to complete this within my set target. Very quickly I realized that the key to success was in following the training in THE ORDER IN WHICH IT WAS LAID OUT as tempting as it may be and not be in a rush. Apparently, that was the navigation manual for moving through the maze without running into a brick wall - at least, not often.
Of course I encountered the usual set-backs with niche selection, customizing your theme (and for some strange reason I had selected a difficult one), but the WA community was always helpful - another one of my favorite things. I'm STILL working on this as it's too late to change my theme.
Other favorites include Jaxxy, the interesting blog posts by members of the community, numerous resources you will find if you dig deep enough, Site health metrics, Give-and-Take comments forum and more. Has everything been perfect?: Absolutely not! But the one peev I have can wait till later, as I do not want to ruin this post which is all about :"warm and fuzzy" Ha!Ha!.
With 3 articles indexed by Google, and my training waltzing along, I can say that Wealthy Affiliates is a great place to belong. Thanks to everyone who has assisted me on this journey.

Thanks for sharing this information Ceci. You are doing great. It may not be too late to change your theme.
I attended a webinar hosted by Jay {a phenomenal trainer} and he mentioned that the theme can be changed without messing up your content.
You may want to confirm this with some seasoned members {I am a newbie too}.

My problem is that I initially selected a theme that has a slider, and I already inserted 3 images into it, so I am worried about what will happen if I change the theme. Don';t get me wrong, I love the theme BUT the font size of the posts show up really tiny and I have to change the font size EVERY TIME I write an article. Not nice!

I know it does feel like working your way through a maze Ceci. It did for me in the beginning. But before long I felt a whole lot more comfortable.
Take your time with each step, as much as it seems good to get through fast it is better to understand each step before moving on because each new step builds on the previous one.
This is a great community to be a part of, it has never disappointed me so far.
