Solutions for the Wishful Thinker Dreamer Procrastinator
The Wishful Thinker / Dreamer Procrastinator hates to focus on great details. They harbor great dreams about all kinds of things they can accomplish but keep putting off actually doing them simply because they do not know how to properly set goals, or cannot concentrate on developing the minute details of HOW to get there!
Truth be told, procrastination has everything to do with your mindset!
THE SOLUTION
- Don’t just dream. The only way dreams can come to life is if you actually do something about them. Put those dreams into reality. Turn your dreams into some tangible goals and an action plan of how you are going to bring them to life. You do not set and forget goals!! Set quarterly goals and then break them down by the month.
- Make yourself a to-do list of all the activities (or as best as you can) for each week, and then assign a few tasks for each day of the week. NOW YOU HAVE A PLAN.
- As you go through the day, tick off the tasks that you complete. You will feel a sense of accomplishment.
- Of course, stuff happens! Don’t panic, simply assign the task to a convenient time that week. This may push something else to the next week, BUT, most importantly, you continue to make progress.
- Avoid a wandering mind. This is easier said than done if you are a dreamer. The solution? Keep an alarm or a reminder on your phone set to one-hour intervals to remind you to get back to work!
These simple tips (along with others not listed here) will make a HUGE difference in your productivity. Seek help if you find it difficult setting goals and developing an action plan.
You can do this!!
Thoughts anyone?

Great list, Cecil, I love them. This harps back to always relearning and reminding oneself of what needs to be done. I had a similar to do list - time to get back on doing this on a daily basis.
I am doing this 🤣🌞 👍
Delighted that you are returning back to creating your daily to-do list> Just remember that the to-do list is linked to your goals :-)

These are great insights into the mind of a procrastinator and the things that we can do to ensure that despite this behaviour, we can also become successful
Very true! As long as you can shift your mindset to believing and being determined that you want to break the habit, it can be done :-)
Thanks for the read.
