Where do I begin?!!

That's how I felt when I first started with Wealthy Affiliate. There's so much information here and so little time to go through it all.

Plus, I wasn't sure where to even begin in the first place.

I'm sure many of us felt the same way when we first started here and I'm certain there's a lot of new members that are going through that right now. As a matter of fact, I was so overwhelmed with all the info that I basically did nothing for the longest time. It was a form of analysis paralysis. You know....Trying to get all the information 100% understood before starting, just so I could be perfect right out of the gate.

Unfortunately, I was only spinning my wheels and wasting valuable time.

You learn by doing. Not reading about doing.

By no means am I saying not to read up and be prepared. But instead, I should have been reading and taking consistent action on what I was reading.

For all you new members, start right where is says "Get Started Here" which is the green button on the top left of the WA member's area. Go through each step of the training and most important.....DO THE ACTIONS INCLUDED ON EACH STEP!

If you run into anything that you don't understand or something you may have a question about, just ask. There's no such thing as a dumb question and if there is, you can be sure I've probably asked it. Don't be shy. Just ask the community by typing your question into the space provided at the top of the member's area and someone is going to help you.

You are not in this alone!

Also, Don't be overly concerned with your rank here too much at the beginning. Rank is important, but not as important as going through the training and getting the actions completed.

Try to think of rank as a type of social network. Almost like Facebook but better and without all the time wasting distractions and drama.

There's no Candy Crush here!

Rank is a great way to build a network of friends that are all here for the same purpose. Friends that you can bounce ideas off of and get feedback from. Friends that will give you constructive criticism and try to help you on your path to success.

Which brings me to my next topic.

There's a few reasons I can think of why you want to follow as many people as you can. One is the reason I listed above about having people to bounce ideas off of. But, there's also a couple other reasons.

One is that you can read what they're writing in their blogs and check out their websites. Notice their style of writing and how they've set up their websites. It can give you some ideas. Don't steal anything, but be inspired and learn from what they're doing.

Another reason is, you can comment on what they're doing. Adding your own positive influence into WA. In doing so, you're not only helping to inspire another human being into realizing their dream, but it will make you feel better about yourself all while giving you more practice at writing. In turn, the better you become at writing, the more your own content will become more interesting and the better things will become for you!

See how it goes full circle?

As you're going through the training, you may want to take some time off from it.

Ok. Take a day or two off but THAT"S ALL. Just a day or two. Laziness can become very addictive and it's a dream killer addiction.

But you should still sign into WA every day. Take those days that you feel you need a break from the training and just start following more people. Practice your writing skills by welcoming new members and thanking those who follow you.

Don't just do the same generic welcome to WA message. Actually take the time to read their profile and respond to them. It will prove that you're not just thinking of them as a number but that you really acknowledge them and why they're on the same path that we all are here at WA.

But again....You must get back to the training.

Do the action steps. Ask questions. Make friends.
