In wordpress, the icons are missing on the visual screen, but on the text screen they appear. How do I fix this?
If the kitchen think doesn't help, then it must be the plugins.
I agree with the previous guys' opinions.
are you seeing none, or just some? See if you can find one called the "kitchen sink". But sometimes plugins or themes will mess with the editor, so I would deactivate plugins one by one to see if that's the case.
I'm seeing none. I deleted a few plugins, but I will try deactivating a few and see if that works, Thanks!
Try going to Users > Your Profile and see if there a checkmark here http://d.pr/i/YVr7. It should be unchecked.
Go to VIEW MODE and the hover over the square icon on the right. It's called "Kitchensink" Click on it and the top row of buttons will show up.
Which icons would those be? The ones that advertise for your monetization? Try opening your page from an incognito window. My ads didn't appear in the visual screen until I went to view them incognito. I viewed them in my actual website, so you'll have to publish your page before you can view them.

Hi Pat. When I'm creating a new post, the icons at the top are gone on the visual screen. For example: the bold, italic, link icons, etc. They appear when I click the text tab, but don't appear on the visual tab.

Ok I found the problem. It was a plugin. It was the shrimp test plug in. I'm not sure why I had that plug-in, but it will mess up your visual field.

Does anyone know how to insert Amazon html links on a wordpress WS? I have tried the text widget, but it will not show up on my site. I have even tried pasting the html code on
I had this same problem just last week, and @RICH helped me out in the chat area. If you have the Chrome browser, go to the drop down Chrome menu on the right top corner of the window. Select new incognito window. When that window opens, then go to your website, and you should be able to see the banner. He told me it had something to do with the fact that your original browser was logged on to your page and that prevented you from seeing the banners. This works for me, and I hope it works for you.

Thank you. That makes better sense then. I've been using Firefox so maybe the same problem exists with too.
Thanks Pat, your the first person to give me an answer on this one. I've been trying all day to get this to work. Now I can stop worrying that my site isn't working the way I want.

Hi all..! All banners work the same, I have no problem putting up banners so far.

After you add them to your text part of your edit page then hit the preview changes tight above your update tab on the right side. The Amazon HTML will not show on your edit page just on your website. On your edit page it will just show beige looking square. I hope this helps you

I was just curious if you've had any problems with the method you're using with the screen captures? I am just starting out and I too was having issues inserting the banners and product images, so I just did a screenshot with the short link. I thought that I saw somewhere that this was against Amazon's policy. Since I haven't yet sold anything, Amazon hasn't reviewed my site. It started to concern me that when I do get a sale and they review my site, would my account be shutdown until I fixed the images? I hope I'm just over-thinking this and they don't really care; after all, it is their stuff I'm selling. I'm really hoping that I'm mistaken on the whole thing. Anyways, sorry for being so long winded. :-)

Thanks for the reply! I may be mistaken in the first place. I've been through the TOS, but I am not real fluent in legalese, so I may have just misunderstood.
I haven't started using the Amazon affiliate links yet, but I plan to manually use them by grabbing the short link that they provide and put it on either images or texts that I upload myself. If you try this method and have problems, let me know. I'll help you out.

I might not be remembering it right, but when I started putting up my website, there was no all in one seo, but there was an seo tab, just not all in one, when I clicked the seo tab, an upgrade tab popped up at the top of the screen, when I clicked on the upgrade, the all in one appeared..... at least that's what I think I remember....
You may have to search for it.
Go to plug ins>add new>search
enter all in one SEO and it will come up.
