Just Keep Working

I am now just a little over a month into my Career as an affiliate marketer. I can say that this month has had its ups and downs. The amount of work that was done by both myself and my great partner on the site has been a great accomplishment for us. We did have a little set back a couple weeks ago I want to talk about.

As i was working through my lessons I came to the point where you apply for an Adsense account. When I applied i was feeling really good about all I had accomplished and looked forward to getting approved. Well I made the application , and probably like a lot of new people, I got denied. The reason for the denial was not enough content.

With this setback my partner and I made a decision on what to do. Do we continue on the lessons, or do we focus on getting our Adsense account approved. We made a decision to go the latter. Once of the reasons we made this decision was to allow my partner to catch up on the lessons. She started after I did and was behind. The other was to focus on the content on our site.

For two weeks we worked on content and writing posts. We also changed our homepage to a static page. Now two weeks later we just got our final approval for our Adsense account. I know a lot of people see this setback. Some will quit saying whats the point in continuing.

When you have a set back you have to remember that it is not a failure. It is only a set back. It is time to reevaluate the direction your heading and make a plan to overcome this setback. I myself have an amazing partner who through all of this has been supportive and got involved during this time.

So in the end lets all get out there and keep moving forward. Do not let a minor set back discourage you. Surround yourself with supportive people that can help you, whether it is on Wealthy Affiliate or in your personal life. I look forward to working with all of you as we move forward.
