Just Showing Off!
Quite proud of myself - not being a great student at school, mind you, that was a long time ago. I have managed to get past another step in the quest to start showing people what they are missing by not reading novels.
Of course not everybody will not enjoy the same genre as me. Some people like romantic books, some prefer action-packed dramas. Well, I like, horror mysteries. Stephen King being one of my favourites. Actually, it was pointed out to me that I have not yet reviewed 'Misery', yes, one of his best.
Now, it would be nice to earn some money doing what you enjoy, in my case, reviewing books, old and new. We are taught, the cash will follow. I'm prepared to wait and see. So far it has been great being involved with a great bunch of people, learning new things, and being a part of a like-minded community.
A question has crossed my brow, shall I start the next leg of lessons, or shall I wait until tomorrow?
Cheers all.
PS, the illustration above was painted by my sister for the cover of my first novel to be published.
Came over from reading a comment or two that you have written on others posts, and I am glad I did in that we appear to hold the same passion for writing
By the way before I go further: (Your sister shows some real talent in painting a strong feel into her image...I do hope to read that she is also pursuing her works getting published )
As to writing, I agree that each person is unique in their gravitating toward one genre or another In this I enjoy deciphering the mechanics and process that authors use in the construct of their work, and why...not so much scientist as just love to know the trick behind the magic.
So here you are and about to make good on your dream of making some money doing what you love. I applaud anyone who would make a fist for what they represent in the world, so to you sir, I tip my hat.
Shine brilliant then...share your fortune with others, and may you accomplish all that you set out to envision.
Respectfully David
