Back in the Saddle
OK, I shut it down last night. I feel much better this morning. Deleted my privacy page altogether and re-did it from jump. Still don't know what I did wrong but it's working fine now.
Many thanks to everyone who offered kind words and encouragement while I was so frustrated and loosing my mind. Big hugs to you all!! I hate to quit before the job is done but in this case it's gonna be a work in progress for a while so I might as well relax and stop setting unreasonable deadlines for myself.
I know very little about blog posts and web pages and only what I've learned here about building one. I said from the beginning that I was almost computer illiterate and the answer was that it didn't matter. I'd learn. Someone said "the learning curve is steep" which I didn't understand at the time. Boy, do I understand it now. I didn't know a website name from a domain name and I'm still not sure I understand the mechanics of it but that too will come if I just keep studying, reading, listening and asking questions.
Hope everyone has a glorious Memorial Day Monday and remember those who gave all for the freedoms we take for granted!

You might try this Cathy....instead of doing all your work in your web/post, do it in Word save it so you always have your own copy that you can post anywhere you choose. Then you will never have to worry if your site crashes, your post gets lost on the Internet, and a myriad of other issues. Make sure you have copies of everything you write on your computer not just in the cloud.
Thank you! I used to do that but not being too computer savvy I had trouble with the cut and paste. I learned ctrl V here. Will resume that habit immediately.

It's all good Faye. I had set a goal of having the website up and running by the weekend. I was coming down to the wire and my site was not ready. Unrealistic goal on my end. Finally had to step away. Take a breath, regroup, get some sleep, everything is all better today! Website is out there and running!
