I can relate... mine has dropped at least 80 in the last several weeks. Started when we took an extended camping trip. But there are a lot of people really competing now in the ambassadorship area. So, I just help when I can and don't even think about the rankings anymore.
Caylynn, I wasn't very active here for several weeks. Power outages for hours at a time, probably due to our high winds and bushfires around Sydney, didn't help either. My rank dropped 31 points! It's going up again. I can relate to what you have written. As Jim writes, it's not that important and once you get back to doing "your thing" here, your rank will climb again. It's good to have a bit of time out occasionally. There are other situations in life that need our attention, too. Great to be back, isn't it? :)
I think people on WA are putting way too much emphasis on their rank within WA. Don't get me wrong. It's not unimportant. But we should not sacrifice our business for rank in WA. When I came back into the WA community after a rather long hiatus, I found myself getting way too involved in the online chat. Now, I really enjoy the chat and have made some great friends there, I found I was too consumed with it so I had to break away - even if that meant my rank decreasing.
I help people because I believe in the "pay it forward" nature of our community. But the number one focus has to be making our businesses thrive.

You are one of the best in my circle of friends. Yes, agree - rank was mentioned only because I missed all the time I spend reading/commenting on the WA blogs/discussions and welcomes/thank you's to the new members following me. I focus on my helper and member rank staying even on the chart each day. My friends on my sites, on google and hanging out was really missed. My PM's are next.
"Pay it Forward" one of my favorite movies and my favorite community - the WA. Together we make our businesses thrive and I sorely missed the togetherness.
Did lots of writing offline of posts/pages/articles and found my Evernote file while I cleaned up my Mac!
