The Ghosts in the Machines

My ageing computer has mutated its CMOS and mutinied! Much of my stuff is in the cloud but not the sound frequency generator nor photoshop. And just when I was going to create a sound frequency download for my website! Supposed to have the new computer by the first part of May.

But that's not all. My furnace is in the shop for the second time...tech says it looks like there was a rodent invader who broke a few parts. That would likely be the one the cats left in front of the front door for me to step on coming home from work.

And my well used MP3 player with all my medicinal sound frequencies is slowing down, preparing to die. Can only scroll forward now, not backward. Thinking to replace it with a tablet, one with stereo to play the new binaural frequencies out there. Maybe with enough memory to install my frequency generator program and database. Recommendations for a good tablet anyone?

Oh Mori, I can sympathise! My son had to build a PC for me months back because my old one, still running Windows XP, and with RAM that they don't make anymore, was slowing down so much, it was painful! Everything's pretty good now, if only the internet would be a bit more reliable :) I am also wondering if we will have trouble with our oven before too long as we seem to have a family of rats living in the cavity the oven sits in! The cats haven't found a way to get in there yet! I'm sure if they could, they would be leaving them at my bedroom door! lol :) Hope all goes well for you soon!
Cheers,

Yeah, the upside of this is that everything gets upgraded -- windows xp to 7, tablet for mp3. The furnace has become a bit of a mystery--after ordering parts they're telling me that model is discontinued, offering a deal on a newer model, pay for both. Need to do some detective work there...

They say bad luck comes in three's don't they Mori. So you must be due for some good luck now :D It's always good when you get an upgrade though ;) I think I must be due for some too as my bench top dishwasher has just died :(
Good luck with that furnace my friend! :)
Cheers,
Lynette

The Samsung Galaxy 4 Tab is awesome, will only set you back $166 and will last for years and years.

Thanks, will check it out.

Sounds as if you have fallen out with all of your tech equipment. It also sounds very expensive...ouch
