Your Mindset Will Determine Your Success And Longevity
What Is Your Purpose Here?
Why are you here?
Yes, you.
Why are you here?
Is it to make a quick buck and leave or, are you here to REALLY learn, build, grow and sustain an online business? There is a difference. A big difference. And knowing that from the start will save you a lot of time, energy, frustration and money.
People Come And Go At Wealthy Affiliate
It is a revolving door here in our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) community. What, with over 2 million members, what else do you expect?
Some people drop by to check things out and then move on. Others come in and take a seat in front of the tele with a bag of popcorn and enjoy a movie before moving on again.
Then there are those who may spend a night or two, a weekend or extended vacation. They are breezing, checking out the views and people and deciding if it is worth staying on or coming back.
Many are here killing time, as we say, seeing if they learn anything or get a quick dollar for their pocket. If that happens, they may stay a bit longer until it increases or dissipates.
Then, there are those who really get it. They dive in to the training, connect with members, pay deep attention and work at understanding and implementing. This group works hard to lay a solid foundation and invest for the medium to long haul.
Find Your Train Line - Soonest
Let me be clear.
Whatever you choose is best for you. It is your choice. You alone will know your drivers and circumstances so you have to make the best choices for you.
However, you should know this as soon as possible.
Why?
Because, if you don't, you may be putting yourself into a conflicted position and also making it difficult for members trying to support you.
If you are here to get in and out quickly, your approach and expectations will be different. You may expect members to hand you quick answers rather than guide you towards the source and help you learn to fish for yourself.
You will not be interested in the acquisition of knowledge which you can share with others later on because you may not be here that long.
Makes sense?
Time Impacts On Engagement
I have observed that many deep relationships are formed at WA. As a somewhat new member, I have been privy to members here for years, working together and getting to know each other. They share goals, dreams, successes and failures.
I admire these connections and I am also forming some of my own. Having made a decision to be here for the long-term, the relationships will anchor me and I will therefore invest time and energy into them.
It takes time to reach out and connect. That time is valuable and meaningful. I also appreciate that time invested in our community could be time spent elsewhere.
It is because of this, that I encourage you to decide as soon as you can, what train line you intend to follow.
The time invested into our community will determine the quality of your engagements, relationships and, (I am concluding), the quality of your success as well.
Please, do not expect to receive more than you are prepared to give.

You touched on something that has been of immense value to me Cassi. Community. I've met some truly wonderful people here, you included, who have made this whole experience so comfortable. I've made some real friendships here and hope to make more. I never thought this would happen when I first joined. All of the training, the webinars, and other contributions from members would not mean much without the genuine feelings of friendliness and community. Thanks for a great post Cassi.
Greg
Greg,
That feeling is mutual! 🤗
EVERY day, I look forward to being here at WA.
I value this more because I do not open up to people quickly or easily.
However, here at WA, in a few months, I have formed some really valuable friendships (and I do not use that word lightly).
There are persons like you who I look forward to "talking" with and sharing with.
And it occurred to me today (Sunday) that I sometimes check-in just to make sure my friends are okay.
I love our community and now feel somewhat protective about it.
Life, eh?
Have a blessed day, my friend.
Thank you.

Really great post!
It is true that we have better time to know what we want and where we want to go to get on the right train and not change course. Changing paths because it is too long or too complicated is the best way to get lost on the road. So let's trace our path and not deviate from our roads towards our goals.

Thank you for your post, Cassi...it is important to priorities where we want to be and how much time we put into those things that are important to us. The people that are "in and out" might be interested in the training enough to try it out, but when things happen around them (outside of the internet world), sometimes they don't come back or if they do it is only until something else comes up. For me, I realize that getting up early in the morning is more important than sleeping in. What we do with our time is up to us. We can get bogged down and depressed or we can come to a place where we can learn and support or receive support from others. That is what I love about WA.
Lisa, you are right on track!
Everything you need to succeed online is right here at WA.
Take your time, follow the training, connect with people here and you will be well on your way.
Be safe and well.
